The new FAST™ XFI™ System for the 2011 Ford 5.0L Mustang replaces OEM controllers with the first aftermarket programmable race electronic fuel injection system available for the Coyote engine. It is easy-to-install, simple-to-tune, boost and nitrous friendly, and capable of performance that will blow your mind and leave your competition in the dust. The XFI™ precisely balances fuel and spark, allowing you to fine tune like never before so that you’re able to set your own parameters and experience the ultimate in fuel injection technology.
With an engine-specific wiring harness featuring clearly labeled connections, installation is a snap. Once installed, simply connect to a Windows PC, and use the easy-to-navigate C-Com® software to completely configure your new system. C-Com® allows you to tune your engine and data log all parameters in real time. These updated features include field flashable capabilities that enable you to download the latest software updates via email or directly from the FAST™ website without ever removing the XFI™ from your vehicle.
The XFI™ System sets itself apart from the competition with its revolutionary Qwik Tune™ Technology. Qwik Tune™ lets you preprogram up to four different performance tunes. With the flick of an in-car switch, you can instantly switch between your customized settings. Drive to the drag strip using your “street” tune, and then flip your Qwik Tune™ switch to blow away your competitor with your “all out racing” tune. The XFI™ EFI system can even control up to 4 stages of nitrous with an optional power adder harness so you’ll never get left behind at the track again. Other features include on-board diagnostics, EZ Test™ Indicator Lights, five bar MAP sensing and controls for your torque converter. The XFI™ also offers enhanced data logging capabilities and memory for analyzing up to eight additional monitored inputs.
The XFI™ for 5.0L Mustangs is available in all optional XFI™ formats, including the standard XFI™, Intelligent Traction Control™, and XFI™ with 16 Injector Drivers or Internal Data Logging. The first XFI™ Training Class held by FAST™ and EFI University in Memphis, TN, was a huge hit and sold out. The second class, held in Mira Loma, CA, was equally successful. Now, the third course has been officially announced. On December 8th, 2010, one day before the Performance Racing Industry tradeshow, you can come to Orlando, FL for a day-long event covering basic and advanced techniques for setting up and tuning the FAST™ XFI™ Fuel Injection System.
With the recent news that NASCAR is heading toward EFI systems, and with others sure to follow, this is a great opportunity for engine builders to learn the technology of the very near future. Whether you’re interested in circle track, drag strip or street, you will discover new secrets and tips at PRI and the XFI™ Training Class. Engine tuners from all over the country gathered in Memphis, Tennessee, on May 8th for the first XFI™ Training Class
The first of four scheduled 2010 XFI™ Training Classes held by FAST™ and EFI University of Temecula, California, was a huge success. The sold-out, one-day event covered basic and advanced techniques for setting up and tuning the FAST™ XFI™ Fuel Injection System. Over the course of the day, students were given an in-depth look at everything from phasing the distributor to gaining an advantage at the track with the optional XFI™ Intelligent Traction Control™ feature.
The class’s open format allowed for plenty of questions and lots of time for discussions in which everyone could take part. From seasoned engine builders to tuning novices, every student learned something new. The course was taught by accomplished EFI instructor, racer and tuning guru Brian Macy and the FAST™ technical support staff.

FAST™ teams up with EFI University to create new training course in fuel injection
technology specific to the popular XFI™ Fuel Injection
FAST™ and EFI University of Temecula, California, have joined together to hold a series of special, one day training courses covering the fundamentals of setting up and tuning with the FAST™ XFI™ Fuel Injection System.
The courses will be taught by accomplished EFI instructor and author Ben Strader; racer and tuning guru Brian Macy; and members of the FAST™ technical support staff. Designed for seasoned tuners and first timers alike, the courses will take an in-depth look at everything from phasing the distributor to gaining an advantage at the track with the XFI™ optional Intelligent Traction Control™ feature.
There are four classes planned for 2010 with the first taking place on May 8th at the COMP Performance Group™ R&D facility in Memphis, TN, and the second on June 26th at Westech Performance in Mira Loma, CA. The dates and locations for classes three and four have yet to be determined but they will be announced on the FAST™ website at
www.fuelairspark.com/training. Registration for any of the classes can also be handled via the FAST™ website, along with class details.

The engineers at FAST™ have taken the XIM™ to a whole new level. The coil-on plug ignition controller, originally developed for use with FAST™ XFI™ systems, is now available in a standalone kit for GM LS1/LS6 and LS2/LS3/LS7, Ford Modular, and 5.7 & 6.1 Hemi engines.
These new kits enable programmable control of the popular late model coil-on plug ignition systems, independent of the fuel delivery method or any factory computer. The Standalone XIM™ features simple-to-use on-board adjustments to dial in a customizable timing curve (as opposed to a collection of pre-set curves) and to adjust a vacuum advance feature and rev limiter.
This bolt-on solution to coil-on plug ignition is the easiest and most reliable way to run a carburetor or the FAST™ EZ-EFI®. This is a complete kit, it does not require XFI™ or OE computer. These kits are ready to run out of the box, but do allow some optional tuning features if desired.
