Got Nitrous?
How Nitrous Oxide Makes Power
Nitrous oxide helps your engine to make big horsepower gains by allowing it to burn more fuel. Burning more fuel creates higher cylinder pressures, which push down on the pistons with greater force. When the nitrous is injected into an engine and the initial combustion takes place, it creates enough heat to separate the nitrous oxide into its two components -nitrogen and oxygen. Once separated, the additional oxygen is then free to react with more fuel and produce a significant increase in horsepower.
To run nitrous successfully and safely, you have to inject a precisely metered mixture of additional fuel and nitrous oxide into your engine. All of the extra oxygen provided by the nitrous oxide must have fuel with which to react, or severe engine damage will result. The ZEX™ GEN III nitrous systems are engineered to provide precise control over the ratio of nitrous to supplemental fuel, allowing your engine to safely and reliably generate exceptional power increases. Although each ZEX™ GEN III nitrous system is suited to a different application, they all have a few key features in common:
All of this adds up to make a great-performing nitrous system that is easy to install and easy to use!
